Job Description

This client facing consultancy who have a reputation spanning more than 75 years, are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor with Employers Agent experience within their Birmingham office (QS to Associate QS). They’re able to cover projects across the UK due to having five offices from London to Newcastle. They cover projects across the whole built environment with the Birmingham office having an influx of Residential projects currently.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as Employers Agent on behalf of private and public sector clients

  • Advise on procurement routes

  • Appointments and management of external consultants (included Collateral Warranties)

  • Preparation of full tender packages

  • Tender review and recommendations

  • Appointments of main contractors / specialist contractors

  • Contract Administration (mainly JCT (various forms))

  • General project management of projects

  • Chairing progress meetings

  • Issuing contract notices when required

  • Carrying out valuations and managing variations

  • Cost and progress reporting

  • Settling final accounts

Requirements

  • Employers Agent and Client Representative skills

  • Contract Administration experience

  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High level of professionalism and commitment to client satisfaction

  • Relevant industry qualifications and certifications
