Job Description
This organisation is seeking a highly driven Clerk of Works to join their Bristol team, working across projects in the South and South West of England.
Their company is continually expanding as they celebrate new business wins month-on-month. Their sectors of operation include residential, commercial, arts and leisure, and education - with residential developments being their primary area of operation. Responsibilities:
As their Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for inspecting the workmanship, quality and safety of work on their projects and reporting back to their Surveyors, Aftercare Team and Clients. You will be given the opportunity to work across leading local development which truly impact communities in a positive way, no two days will be the same as you will be tasked with inspections across a wide range of sites, but generally, your responsibilities will include:
Attending initial and recurring project meetings with the Client and relevant Rund project team, to develop a full understanding of the project specification and Employer's Requirements
Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure the works meet the drawings and specification
Completing and distributing the Rund Site Inspection Report, Progress Report, and Quality Control Sheet
Providing progress photographs
Attending site meetings when requested and providing verbal reports for the Client and Rund project team
Assisting in carrying out and preparing snagging and de-snagging sheets
Assisting in the handover procedure
Requirements

The ability to prioritise and manage several tasks or projects to deadline
A customer-focused attitude
A team player mentality, keen to work closely with clients and colleagues
A sound knowledge of building construction
A professional approach to daily tasks
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Good verbal communication skills, with a comfortable presence in meetings and a willingness to contribute
The ability to work under direction, but able to use own initiative when required
A commercially aware and financially astute attitude
MICWCI or working towards membership
A valid CSCS card
Ideally, knowledge (and preferably a qualification) in fire stopping
A full, clean driving licence - travel to a wide range of sites is a key aspect of this role
