This organisation is a development company with their own main contracting division all under one roof. They are currently developing one of the area’s largest logistics parks and have further sites to develop with granted planning permission. In addition, they have various residential developments on going and up and coming in some great locations, these consist of large redevelopments and large new build sites. They have a current build programme of ten years and current turnover is circa £40m per year.
Job Description
This organisation is looking to appoint a Site Manger with experience in large civils, steel frame and cladding projects. The successful candidate will be 1 of 2 Site Managers, individually managing your own areas of this large site.
The site comprises of numerous large-scale warehouses, some if which have already been completed but there are various more to be built over the coming years.
Some examples of duties are as follows:
Supporting the day to day running of the site
Coordinating various sub-contractor and internal labour gangs
Liaising with CM & PM colleagues
Tracking variations and site instructions
Coordinating the storage of materials
Managing material levels on site
Reviewing and reporting on programming
Providing progress reporting
Site inductions
Overseeing general H&S on site
Quality control
Ensuring construction is as per the drawings and specification
Coordinating safe working areas for machinery
Ensuing site is clean and tidy
Showing external consultants around the site such as Building Control
Requirements
Experience in warehouse type projects or similar (large civils, steel frame & cladding)
Confident in managing large scale projects
Track record of delivering projects on time and to a high standard
SMSTS / NEBOSH qualified or similar
