Job Description
This organisation is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Cost Consultancy team. The right candidate will positively contribute and progress within a friendly multi-disciplinary construction consultancy.
The successful candidate will be working on a range of projects in both the public and private residential, education and commercial sectors. This role is client-facing, working within an ambitious and professional team to carry out a full suite of quantity surveying & employer agent skills during pre and post-contract stages.
Key Accountabilities:
Some examples of duties are as follows:
Cost planning
Procurement route advice to clients
P
reparing tender packages
Procurement & appointments of main contractors
Preparation and administration of construction contracts (mainly JCT)
Carrying out interim valuations, issuing payment certificates, contract notices, reviewing EOT claims, settling final accounts etc
Settling disputes as they arise throughout the project
Chairing meetings
Cost reporting
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
A minimum of three years experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally with a consultancy.
MRICS or working towards APC
Strong experience in pre and post-contract stages
Knowledge of residential developments, including new build and refurbishment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
