Job Description
This client facing consultancy have just secured a number of new projects in addition to an already busy order book. These projects include a major project with one of their long-standing clients, consisting of a sports facility, residential & commercial buildings and associated infrastructure. The project is expected to be valued over £1bn. Further projects include one off super prime residential projects which is a speciality of theirs and hold a solid reputation within this sector. Clients include wealthy individuals and institutions such as The Royal Family.
They’re looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent to assist with these projects and be involved in existing projects too.
You will be working alongside Associate & Director level colleagues who will support you to expand your experience and further your career.
Responsibilities:
Preparing feasibilities and cost plans
Procurement of client’s professional team and appointments
Attending design team meetings
Liaising with local authorities regarding statutory requests
Oversee H&S matters which include the preparation and issue of F10 and tracking renewal
Preparation of tender packs
Tender review and providing recommendations on appointment of main contractors
Preparation of main contract (usually JCT)
Contract administration throughout project
Chairing client meetings
Settling disputes as and when they arise
Project reporting
Settling final accounts
Stakeholder management
Requirements
Have experience in a client facing role previously
Have experience in working within the built environment
Have a Project Management related degree or similar
A desire to become MRICS / MAPM (if not already)
