Job Description
This multi disciplinary consultancy are looking to appoint a Senior or Associate level Building Surveyor to work on various developer led new build & refurbishment projects as well as client occupied projects across the built environment. Sectors include student accommodation, residential, warehousing, retail & commercial.
This organisation has a ‘Freedom Working’ policy in place whereby employees manage their own workloads, clients, fees & invoicing and where you want to work (allowing for at least one office day per week). This freedom will allow you to manage your clients and projects in your own style of working with colleagues on hand to help and provide advice when needed.
Working predominately in the Commercial sector, you’ll be carrying out the following duties:
Dilapidations
Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Schedules of Condition
PPM
Defect and Building Surveys
Specification Writing
Contract Administration
Party Wall Surveying (not essential)
Requirements
MRICS qualified Building Surveyor desirable but not essential
Detailed commercial and contractual knowledge
Comfortable preparing reports with excellent client presentation skills
Experience in various forms of building surveys
